We encourage the spiritual growth of families, lay groups and individuals wishing to develop their knowledge of Marist Spirituality and live their Christian life with a Marist charism. You can see an introduction to Marist spirituality on other pages of this web site. Enquiries from individuals, families or groups who wish to learn more are encouraged. Mary wants to gather everyone into Gods family and all are welcome.

or to consecrate a new born to the care of Our Mother Mary

One of the strong traditions of Marist Laity since its beginnings in 1868 has been to pray for pregnant mothers and unborn children, consecrating them to Mary's care.

12-14 August 2014.

Let's gather our NZ Third Order Treasures Papal approval was first given for Marist Laity by Pope Gregory XVI on 12-14 August 1834. Fr Jean-Claude Colin: Founder, pray for us.
Novena for the Intercession of Jean-Claude Colin

Fr Colin's spiritual and practical legacy was immense.

The Novena through the Intercession of Jean Claude Colin is:

God our Father, in your servant Jean-Claude Colin you gave your people a zealous priest and religious founder dedicated to serving the Church in the spirit of Mary.
We ask for the glorification of your faithful servant in the midst of the Church and pray that you grant us the favour which we ask through his intercession.
(mention Request)
This we ask through Christ Our Lord and in the name of Mary
If you receive any graces through the intercession of Venerable Jean-Claude Colin, please advise:
R.P Carlo-Maria Schianchi SM,
Postulator, Padri Maristi
Via Alessandro Poeria 63,
001552 Rome, Italy.

Here is a YouTube video of excerpts of final mass in Rome for the end of the Colin Year.

We ask Fr Colin to pray that religious and Lay men and women will again catch the vision to be instruments of Gods mercy in Mary's name. May we work to build a Marian church of mercy for the greater glory of God and the honour of his mother and we pray for the full flowering of Fr Colin's vision for Laity. Jean Claude Colin website
A site has been created to give information about Fr Colin, provide weekly extracts of his words for reflection and promote his Cause.
